Professor Zhi Xiao currently serves as Assistant General Manager of China National Building Materials Group Co., Ltd. and Chairman of the Board of China Building Materials Academy Co., Ltd. (CBMA), overseeing strategic planning and scientific & technological innovation management. He has spearheaded the development of a science and technology innovation system centered on inorganic non-metallic materials, leading CBMA to accumulate 4,257 valid patents, preside over the formulation or revision of 19 international standards, and foster the growth of multiple high-tech enterprises.He has proposed five strategic priorities: “strengthening the enterprise through disciplines, focusing on strategic emerging industries, providing safety support, leveraging technology to advance internationalization, and accelerating digital transformation,” underscoring the role of new productive forces in driving high-quality development. He places strong emphasis on talent development and digital transformation, and has led CBMA in overcoming numerous key “bottleneck” technologies.
